Author Guidelines
Last updated: 9 October 2026
Prepare, submit, revise, and publish research through TRAIN and BRAINCON.
Choose the right venue
Review the scope, eligibility, topics, deadlines, review model, formatting, and declarations for TRAIN or your chosen conference. Use the venue’s current template and limits; this general guide does not replace its instructions.
Prepare authors and declarations
Confirm the title, abstract, keywords, author order, affiliations, contact information, and ORCID details where requested. Obtain every author’s approval to submit. Prepare funding, conflict-of-interest, originality, ethics, data-permission, and AI-use declarations required by the venue. Declare overlapping work and follow the venue’s simultaneous-submission rules.
Prepare manuscript files
Use the required format and include the requested supplementary materials. For double-blind review, remove author names, affiliations, acknowledgements, identifying file metadata, and other unnecessary identifiers from review files; provide author information separately where instructed. Check that text is searchable, figures are legible, and captions or alternatives support accessibility. Keep copies of all files.
Save and finalize
Open the submission workflow, select the correct journal or conference and track, and complete the requested fields and files. Draft saving and final submission are different steps. After finalizing, verify the submitted record, paper reference, and next actions in your workspace. Browser-stored progress and an email alone are not substitutes for checking the record.
Track assessment and communicate
Check released decisions, revision requests, and deadlines in your workspace. Use the submission conversation for permitted questions. Formatting or document-check results are advisory, and editorial screening may occur before external review. Do not contact reviewers independently or attempt to identify blinded reviewers.
Revise or withdraw
Address each released reviewer or editor comment, prepare a clear point-by-point response, and upload the required revised version. Confirm whether a rebuttal, revision, or camera-ready window applies. Ask the responsible editor or chair about withdrawal or deadline changes; changing your profile or deleting a local draft does not withdraw a submitted manuscript.
Acceptance and proofs
Complete requested rights declarations, camera-ready files, and event requirements. Check the exact proof version for author details, figures, references, and production errors before approving it. Publication timing, licences, fees, DOI handling, and indexing are venue-specific. Acceptance does not automatically complete production or conference registration.
